GOOD: Optimistic, good listener, likes to help people, has a friendly smile, flexible, fluent in Mandarin with a mediocre grasp on Cantonese.

BAD: Stubborn, holds grudges, jumps to conclusions, she’s kind of awkward, has no memory for faces, tries to be mysterious but ends up being really obvious.

QUIRKS: Likes glasses even though she doesn’t need them so she ends up collecting lenless glasses, likes bands that start with P. Dances like no one is watching on her way to the Dark Room to develop film. Sleeps in the dark room, listens to her Ipod sometimes without it on. Jiae likes being the person to take pictures and developing them but she hates being in the pictures herself. Tends to hold up her pointer fingers and thumbs, form a box or something and say “Click” like she’s taking a picture. Jiae constantly twists her wrists like she’s trying to pop them and she does it a lot when she’s nervous, she also rubs at them when she’s nervous too. When she’s uncomfortable, her left leg starts twitching like mad. If she’s holding a camera or has a camera, even when there’s no film, she’ll hold it up and start watching people through the lenses.

What is your family like?: I don’t know what to say about my family. They’re great really and sometimes they’re a little overbearing but that’s alright. My mother’s completely Taiwanese and even though it’s been years in Korea, she’s still a little bit like a fish out of water. My Father’s completely Korean and he’s totally strict…most of the time. He’s really harsh about school, grades and stuff like that so my brother Jihoon and I got a lot of lectures and stuff on it. Jihoon’s older than me by 3 years and he’s a tech geek. He loves everything and anything electronic and he does a lot of programming on the side and stuff like that. He’s also a mechanic of all things weird including toy trains, broken cars, bikes, stoves and all that jazz. He the model in some of my pictures. He hates being my model but he turns out really well in the pictures.
What is your ideal type?: Ideal type? Cute and dorky but also caring. I’d like it if they were taller than I am but not too much, I don’t want to get a crick in the neck trying to kiss them or anything. I don’t need them to give me everything I want because I don’t want to seem to materialistic ya know? So cute, dorky, caring yeah. I guess that’s my ideal type for now.
What is your biggest secret?: I hate the camera. Okay, I love being behind the camera but I hate being in front of the camera. I love being able to take pictures and videos but I really hate being the person in front of the camera. I guess that would be a problem if I became an idol huh? Guess I should strike that off my list of things haha. But I really dislike being in front of the camera.
What are your fears?: Ducks and Geese. I’ve never been one for birds and I was geese-bitten? Well, I was bitten by a goose when I was younger. So now I don’t really like anything with large, flat bills. I also don’t like high places very much, unless it’s to take a really good picture. I’m a little bit afraid of large crowds and I don’t like hearing loud explosions. A firecracker went of near me when I was younger and I was burned pretty bad. There’s a scar on my arm and lower back from it.
Do you have a favorite idol group?: Petal, Play, and Prestige. Yeah I know. I think I’ve got a “P” band fascination going on haha. Didn’t realize it until a friend and my brother pointed it out.
How about a bias in them?: No bias in Petal yet, but they just debuted. Haha. I don’t think I have a bias in Play but I really like their sound. As for Prestige, I didn’t actually have a bias either but recently Zion and Yunseon are growing on me.
Future goals:I want to try and tackle being an Idol if I can, probably after talking it over with my parents, my brother and other family members I guess. If not, I’d like to do photography as work, maybe do photo shoots or something like that. I’d like to intern somewhere, maybe at photoshoots or something just so I can get a feel of how idols are behind the scene and so I can be me and be behind the camera.
